My name is Marin Todorov.
I’ve been in computers sine 1992, mostly doing programming, desktop and web applications, in various technologies. Recently I switched to Mac and I’m happy with it.
I also make music. I’m composing in different styles and gaining experience. I want to be a film composer.
I moved to live in Prague in February 2007 and I’m happy with it as well.
About this web site
Ever since 1998 I had a personal web site.
I was building a new one almost every year. I had many different versions - happy site, sad site, poetry site, funny site, business site … When I moved to Prague I did put my last site offline with a message “Life under construction”, well now I feel settled and I want to get back online.
This site has been built with free and/or open source applications only. I used :
- MAMP (Apache, MySQL, PHP) to setup a personal web server on my mac
- GimpShop for all graphic work, icons, etc.
- Komodo Edit for editing the html pages and the php scrips
- FileZilla - (the best ftp client due to my opinion) to upload the web site
- WordPress as a blog platform
- Modern Blue Green theme as a base theme for my design
- iG:Syntax Hiliter plugin to highlight code snippets
I’ll write an article for all of them and put the links here, so anyone can do the same
