Just read this article, which aims to people not happy with iMovie on the Mac ( I’m pretty happy with it, I must say) and offers a short list of free video editors that run on Mac (and other OSes)

Don’t miss checking out some of their demo videos - really amazing ! You can put a video inside another video - transform it in a custom shape that you draw with your mouse and let them play like that .. awesome work, till today I tought this kind of software costs at least tens of thousands of dollars  …
