Multitouch in Ubuntu !

I am really amazed by the discovery I made this morning ... Ubuntu actually supports multitouch gestures on a quite normal old Acer laptop! I was just working this morning on my girlfriend's laptop - an old Acer model with absolutely normal touchpad, when I found out that it actually responds to multitouch gestures ... Gosh, I'm quite amused and super puzzled ... I tought you need a special touchpad for that, but it seems the multitouch support must be in the drivers ...

  • scroll up and down - the hell with going to the scrollbar double click and scroll up down ... two fingers on the touchpad and dragging up and down actually scrolls the current window's contents
  • all fingers on the touch pad (actually four) and dragging from top-left to bottom-right switches to the workspace in right , and vice versa for the workspace in left ... yaiks ! :)

That's so cool !

Do you know of any other multitouch gestures ? It'll be really nice if you leave me a message :)
