I would not agree actually with what he says (although indeniably php is an inferior language), since the majority of sites are developed exactly in PHP.

PHP kind of shares the fate of Javascript. It's definitely not of the good ones around, but trough its simplicity became way too popular to be ignored.

Things are how they are. Noone's blog's mumbling will harm a technology which is ruling the world... Though it's like with the dinosaurs, we wait and we see. Eventually something better will come around and rule the world on its terms.
