Today I was googling about music studies in Prague and I ran into the Conservatory web site.
It was pretty useful to find out about the programs in music theory and different instrument programs. One thing that made me particularly interested to at least give them a call (when they are back from summer vacation) is the fact they have program for foreign students. Foreigners can sign to a regular 6 year studies and study for free (in czech language). Foreigners not willing to make the effort to learn Czech - which by the way is really a hard work - can attend specialized classes for foreigners held in English. Now isn’t that interesting ? Of course classes held in English cost a fortune, but hey - Conservatory should make money as well, and that’s not gonna be from the locals right ?
