I like the idea behind your app. I’m impressed you did it in adobe air since it deals with files on the local system! I’m curious to know what it was coded in? PHP perhaps?
Also, what features are you planning on adding?

the application is coded in html + javascript, have a look at the details about Adobe AIR- you will see the AIR runtime gives you access to an API that provides you with access to the filesystem, database and so on, which you can use from Javascript, Flash and Flex.
As for the the Backit application, I already released a minor release you can find on the google download page :

For the upcoming features, I’m kind of waiting for feedback from users to let me know what they would like to see
