Adobe AIR

Creating an Adobe AIR game controlled via Wii remote controller(Wiimote)

Some time earlier this summer (actually the week I bought my Wii) , I started to look into possibilites to read the Wiimote controller data.

I discovered a great tool online called MoteDeamon which basically connects your Mac with the Wiimote and reads the incoming data.

I ported the client which was originally written in ActionScript to AIR usable JavaScript (minor changes really) and had a simple example application developed.

To read more how to use Adobe AIR with the WiiMote via MoteDeamon read my article about it at the Adobe AIR Cookbook, where you will find as well the sample application demoing how to do it.
